Chef Paige Murtaugh’s work centers on cooking over the flame- where land, ancestral food, and community meet.
She began her career in acclaimed kitchens including Phenakite alongside Chef Minh Phan when the restaurant won its first Michelin star. Her passion for fire cooking was forged on the grill station at Dono under Chefs Brendan Collins and Aloise Kieffer.
Paige later stepped out on her own as a Los Angeles private chef, offering in-home dining, meal planning, catering, and retreat services.
Community is central to her work. Paige has worked with chefs such as Tiana Gee, Nyesha Arrington, and Shota Nakajima in kitchens and events across the country.
Outside the kitchen, Paige continues to deepen her connection to the land through outdoor cooking, wild foods, and hunting.
Through live-fire dining experiences like her pop-up BATA, Paige brings people together over seasonal food, good company, and the kind of connection that only happens around the fire.
